Actual map of the political division of Brazil and other details (entrances, geographical accidents, etc.) allowed by the used scale. On the counter clockwise direction, decorative figures allusive to the main economic circles; Pau Brazil, sugar cane, gold and other precious stones, rubber, coffee cultivation and finally the pre-salt (petroleum/oil). The monochromatic color black is a variation of the colorful map “Terra Brasilis” and its goal it is to demonstrate the actual political, social and moral crises lived in Brazil on the past years.
It was a way to demonstrate my indignation with these facts.
Measures without frame: 0,95 m x 0,755 m (~3ft 1,4in x 2ft 5,72in). (This measurement is already 1 cm more on each side for better framing).
Execution time of the original: 320 hours.

Technique: shapes and geographical accidents traced with nakin pen, painted with soft pastel and fixed with protector varnish against fungus, moisture and weather per the technique created and develop by Francisco Stein – 100% Handmade.
